    This interactive panel discussion will focus on interviewing skills pertinent to obtaining a technical position. Professionals from various business segments will address questions from the audience as well as giving their general perspective on interviewing essentials. Come prepared to ask your tough questions regarding proper interview etiquette, what to expect in your first interview, and questions to ask during an interview.

    Kristine Manary graduated from the University of Minnesota with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering. She began her career as an Intel process engineer and grew her experience into training, technical recruiting, intern program management, mentorship, and team facilitation. She is currently a Senior Training Specialist at Intel Corporation in Hillsboro, Oregon.

    Blake Dye is the Employment & Special Programs Consultant for the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT). Blake manages organizations effectively by implementing best practices for diversity. He graduated with honors from Winston-Salem State University in Urban Affairs and earned a Master of Public Administration with a focus in Public Management and Higher Education Administration from Appalachian State University.

    Megan Winchell is a graduate of Cornell University, earning a BS in Chemical Engineering. After finishing her degree, she began working for Schlumberger as a field engineer in Rock Springs, WY. She has held various roles in Schlumberger, including operations management, sales, training and technical client support. Megan is currently the personnel manager at one of Schlumberger's training centers.

    Brenda Yanity is a Test Lead at Microsoft for the Windows Live division. She’s been with Microsoft for 7 years and has shipped OS components, stand alone applications and web components. Prior to Microsoft, she worked on WinCE developer tools at BSquare Corporation. Brenda graduated from the University of Idaho with a B.S. in Computer Science.

    Jennie Caudle is currently a Sr. Technology Development Engineer with Nike, where she has worked for 11 years. Ms. Caudle leads project teams in the design, development, and commercialization of “Nike Air” - elastomeric cushioning components. She graduated from North Carolina A&T State University with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering.

    Sandy Campanario is an R&D Section Manager at Hewlett-Packard. She started her career in 1984 as a Software Engineer at Lockheed Missiles and Space Co. Ms. Campanario joined Hewlett-Packard in 1988, where she has held a variety of positions within R&D and Technical Marketing. She graduated from UNC-Wilmington with BS degrees in Computer Science and Mathematics, and completed her Masters Degree in Computer Science at CSU-Chico.

Key advertising guidelines will be borrowed to convey your information quickly and effectively. Then the unique advantages that women have in the workplace and particularly in high-tech arenas will be added to make a winning resume.

For the last two decades she has been president of INTENTIONAL MANAGEMENT, which specializes in communicating effectively, team building, coaching women managers and interpersonal skills for high tech firms.

    What is networking and why is it vital to your career? The basics of networking and its importance will be discussed in this interactive session. Helpful tips to network more effectively and suggested discussion points to use while networking will be presented. Attendees will then participate in a fun round of “speed networking” allowing practice of the tips learned.

    Julie Jensen is a Director of Human Resources Manager at Hewlett-Packard. During her 23 years with HP, Julie has worked in Finance, Quality, Diversity and Human Resources Management. She has experience both as a manager of people and as a leadership coach for executives and leaders in the organization.

    Having a strategy is similar to using a roadmap to reach a desired destination: it increases your chances for arriving successfully and with fewer mistakes along the way. Women often underestimate the power of having a strategy and their ability to create one. This presentation offers a process that can be applied to strategy development for personal career planning to improved business management.

    Debra Hentz received her BSME from The University of Texas at Austin then moved to the Pacific Northwest to begin her engineering career with Hewlett Packard. She worked in Medical Products as well as HP’s Inkjet Printing Business. Debra has engineering and management experience in R&D, Manufacturing, and Operations.
