Education and Outreach
- To provide education, both personal and professional, for SWE members
- To encourage young people to consider engineering as a career
- To support engineering students in their efforts to become engineers
Inclusive Organization
- To work with other professional organizations on women’s issues
- To expand the diversity of our membership
- To foster SWE networks within Wichita-area companies
- Develop/provide a variety of programs and activities of interest to women of all backgrounds in engineering and technical professions.
Knowledge Source
- To improve communication to members and community with website and social networking sites.
- To increase visibility of SWE in the Wichita community
- To make known that we are a resource for engineering, technical, and women’s issues in the Wichita area
Professional Leadership
- To educate members about leadership
- To develop the skills of future leaders within our organization
- To provide information and opportunities to develop all aspects of professional competency
