Second Section Rep Position Now Open:

This position was recently added. If interested, please contact Pam Snyder or Megan Cloughesy as soon as possible in order to be involved in training this month.

Responsibilities:
- Attend Council of Representatives (COR) training via Conference Call this summer (~July/August)
- Attend any COR conference calls in the Fall before National Conference to learn more and discuss the motions and amendments we will be voting on in Baltimore
- Educate the section and/or e-board on key motions and amendments we will be voting on.
- Collect the section's and/or e-board's opinion on motions and amendments before voting.
- Attend all COR required meetings at National Conference (typically about 1 full day of meetings over a 2 or 3 day period).
- Vote according to the section's opinion both on COR and Region Council.  It is not unheard of for sections with 2 COR reps to vote differently if the section was divided.
- Attend Spring COR Conference Call
- Attend Region meeting at National and Regional Conference
- Join a COR Focus Interest Group (FIG)
- Check and read the COR Forum regularly (at least once a month)
- Prepare 3 Reports annually for the Region Governor.

- Involvement and knowledge of SWE organization at both Regional and National positions.
- Position helps toward your eligibility for Region and National positions
- You can bring section concerns to the National organization when relevant.

National Conference - November 6-8, 2008, Baltimore, MD

        National Conference Registration is now open at www.we08.org! If you have questions about attending conference, or are planning to attend and wish to network with other South Ohio members, please email southohioswe@gmail.com. Women in Engineering Summer Camp for high school girls at the University of Dayton needs your support!

         It is once again time to plan for the annual Women in Engineering Summer Camp for high school girls at The University of Dayton.  This will be our 35th year of camp, and we need your participation in this important and influential program.

Dinner with an Engineer is Wednesday, July 16, 2008, from 6-8 p.m.
Day with Industry is Thursday, July 17, 2008, from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
