We are fueling the world of tomorrow.
The Georgia Institute
of Technology Collegiate Section and Atlanta Professional Section of the
Society of Women Engineers (SWE) are excited to host the 2009 SWE Region D
Conference in the dynamic cosmopolitan city of Atlanta, Georgia. Located in the
heart of Region D, Georgia Tech is an
international leader in scientific and technological research and awards the
largest number of undergraduate engineering degrees to women. Atlanta itself has
the largest SWE concentration in the southeastern United States, is a major
commercial and transportation hub, and is the home to many major corporations.
The goal of this conference is to instill in all women engineers a
true appreciation for their potential to address the major global concerns of
the next several years. We want each woman engineer to be aware of the many
possibilities to positively impact society, contribute to the economy, and
improve life for future generations. The theme for our conference is
“Innovation and Collaboration: Fueling the World of Tomorrow”, which will be
highlighted through a variety of networking events, workshops, seminars, and
keynote speakers.
We look forward to welcoming you to our beautiful city this spring.
Sincerely,
Cintia Nojima
