When necessary, the Section Representative assures authorized alternate(s) are selected to represent the Section at these meetings.
- The Treasurer collects, safely keeps, and distributes the funds of the Section. The Treasurer keeps an exact account of all receipts and expenditures for submission to the Society Treasurer at the end of the fiscal year, and presents a financial report at meetings of the Executive Council and Section membership, as required. The Treasurer also answers inquiries on financial matters and makes recommendations to the Executive Council on financial strategy.
- The Secretary records, prepares, maintains and distributes minutes of each official meeting of the Section or Executive Council. The approved minutes are then submitted into the Section archives.
The Nominating Committee selects the best qualified candidates for each of the SWE CSRA Executive Council offices and prepares the ballot for the yearly election.
The Membership Committee handles all tasks and sponsors programs associated with the goals of member recruitment, retention, and services. The membership committee chair is responsible for maintaining the SWE CSRA membership database. She also sends a welcome email to new members.
The Newsletter Editor compiles all articles and advertisements for the CSRA newsletter, and then coordinates the distribution with the secretary and posting on the website with the website chair. The newsletter is typically published between August and June.
The Webmaster updates the website to include the latest information about upcoming SWE CSRA events as well as links to Region and Society SWE events. The website is also updated periodically to ensure the site serves the SWE CSRA membership as a resource for women in engineering.
