Annual Girl Scout Outreach Event

Society of Women Engineers
LEED
Girl Scouts
The goal of this event was to encourage the pursuit of engineering and computer science studies by “learning to LEED the future with engineering”. The girls connected with local Women Engineers to build their own Green structure that were LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certified. Several different kinds of engineering relating to Green Design and Renewable Energy were directly related to the activities that demonstrated how their valuable contributions can have a long-term positive impact to our environment – on both a local and a global scale.
