Industrial Engineering

Industrial engineering involves the design of systems that use people, materials, and equipment and how they work together. In college, students will take various engineering courses as well as physical science and economics. After college, industrial engineers can work in colleges and universities, industry and the government. Industrial engineers might design a production layout to increase the efficiency and decrease the cost of production.
