Regional Conference

The 2014 conference will be held February 28-March 2 Wichita, Kansas. It is being hosted by the Wichita State Collegiate section and Wichita professional section. Visit the 2014 Conference Website for updates & more information.

FY08 Exxon SME Bowl Award Recipient Region i, the square root of -1 region, serves to unite Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Wyoming behind the mission of SWE: stimulate women to achieve full potential in careers as engineers and leaders, expand the image of the engineering profession as a positive force in improving the quality of life, and demonstrate the value of diversity. Region Membership Award

The first ever region membership awards were presented at the conference dinner on Saturday evening. Congratulations to the following winners, who received a certificate and a check for $100 + $1 for every % increase in membership.

  • SWE-Crease Award for Collegiates – The award for highest growth for a collegiate section goes to The University of Nebraska-Omaha (150% increase)
  • SWE-Tention Award for Collegiates - The award for the highest retention for a collegiate section goes to The University of Missouri-Columbia (77.6% increase)
  • SWE-Crease Award for Professionals - The award for highest growth for a professional section goes to The Eastern Nebraska Section (29.6% increase)
  • SWE-Tention Award for Professionals - The award for the highest retention for a professional section goes to The Mid-Missouri Section (93.8% increase)
