Building SWE Membership Darlene Yerdon, IBM, SWE Region F Leadership Coach Presentation Description: Do you have more SWE members on paper than you see in person? Does your section face challenges with member burnout or competing with other organizations for your members' time? The Building Membership Module provides your section leadership with a firm understanding of SWE membership: Why SWE?, finding the engineers in your area, recruiting and involving members, value for membership, understanding needs and wants of members. This session will help collegiate and professional sections develop a membership plan for recruiting and retaining members. About the Speaker: Darlene Yerdon is the SWE Region F Leadership Coach. She provides leadership training and coaching for New England SWE members. She graduated from Cornell University with a B.S. in Engineering and an M.B.A. She is currently a Financial Program Manager at IBM. Darlene is Past President of the SWE Mid Hudson section.
