want to sponsor a banquet or Girl Scout event, but doesn't know where to
start? Or do you burn out your volunteers every time you host an event? Find
out how to plan events such as speaker dinners, Girl Scout badge workshops,
and social gatherings. You will gain tips for event planning and hear lessons
learned from other sections.
About
the Speaker:
Andrea Ippolito
serves as one of the team members on the
Region F SWE
Collegiate Leadership Coaching Committee (CLCC).
Previously, she served
as a team member on the Region E CLCC team from 2006-2007. Andrea graduated
from Cornell
University
with a Masters of Engineering degree in Biomedical Engineering in May 2007
and with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Engineering in May 2006.
As a senior at Cornell, she served as SWE president from 2005-2006. As an
undergraduate she focused on outreach activities within SWE, including
planning the Cornell SWE Girl Scout Day, High School and Elementary School
Outreach, and Perspective Candidates' Weekend. Andrea currently works in the
Cell Biology laboratory at Boston Scientific Corporation in Natick,
MA
and is the Recording Secretary of the SWE Boston professional section.
