Member Benefits

Members of SWE join for our organized and efficient structure, as well as our wide diversity of corporate, outreach and social events.  We strongly advocate excellence in the professional setting by encouraging members to have as much contact with different companies and the community as possible.

Members have the opportunity to meet other professionals through dinners, speaker events, tours, and outreach events.  Members’ companies, in turn, realize that membership in SWE fosters professional as well as personal achievements.

If you would like to become a member or would like more information regarding membership, please visit the National SWE website at http://www.swe.org/membership.

What is SWE?

The Society of Women Engineers is a national non-profit organization that was founded in 1950.  Its goal is to stimulate women to achieve their full potential in their careers as engineers and leaders, to expand the image of the engineering profession as a positive force in improving the quality of life and to demonstrate the value of diversity.  The New York State Capital District chapter was chartered in 2002.
