Responsibility for domestic and international projects in support of the Medical Imaging business strategy including building and facility system projects ranging from upgrades to existing facilities to new facility projects supporting the growth of the Medical Imaging business. Creates and maintains the long range operating plan for capital and related expenses associated with site and Medical Imaging Business projects. Maintains a strong partnering relationship with key stakeholders in the Medical Imaging business. Provides leadership and strategic direction toward the implementation of key initiatives focusing on, sustainable design, Commissioning Qualification and Validation (CQV), total life cycle management, RCM, and Energy Management. Works proactively and collaboratively across organizations to develop strategic solutions that capitalize on opportunities to increase reliability, reduce costs and provide innovative solutions for facility and business projects. Drives the performance of the engineering group through the creation of strategic development and growth opportunities for the engineering organization. Provides overall leadership for the management of contractor and project safety through; partnering relationships with site/corporate EHS, and management of accountability vs. expectations for staff project engineers and general contractors. Job Requirements / Education / Experience BS in an engineering or architectural discipline with significant experience in the design of mechanical and electrical systems and a minimum of ten years of related industry experience in the design and construction of FDA regulated facilities and systems. PE or AIA preferred but not required. Significant demonstrated experience in the design of facility and production systems supporting R&D, Vivarium and commercial scale manufacturing operations and corporate office spaces. Strong competency in facility process utility and HVAC system design as well as demonstrated strength in the areas of project management and equipment and facility commissioning, qualification and validation. Demonstrated understanding of either radioisotope or radiopharmaceutical manufacturing equipment and processes is preferred but not required. Ability to create and drive innovation within a technical organization. Knowledge of facility system controls, total life cycle management and sustainable facility and system design. Ability to lead a diverse team while creating a collaborative environment that shares knowledge and drives performance within the Engineering organization and across Bristol-Myers Squibb.
