Chiao-ih Denise Hui is currently a Program Manager in the Unmanned Air Systems Groups at L-3 Communications family in 2002 as an engineer and held several engineering positions including Lead Systems Engineer for the Littoral Combat Ship Data Link System. Prior to her current position, she was the Strategic Planning Manager at L-3 Communications – Communications Systems West.
Chiao-ih’s experience includes research with small R&D firms to large organizations such as the Central Intelligence Agency in Langley, VA.
Past President of the professional section of the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) from 2002 - 2007, she is currently serving on several SWE national committees including Strategic Planning Committee and Finance Committee. She is also currently serving on Utah’s Industry Advisory Council. Chiao-ih is on the Board of Directors for The Utah Forum, a young professional organization, a BOD member for the Utah Women’s Technology Council, a Steering Committee Member of the Women’s MBA Alumni Association, and 1 of 8 selected representatives of the United States at the Dragon 100 Leadership Conference and fluently speaks Mandarin Chinese and Taiwanese.
She received a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the University of Utah on scholarship and a Master in Business Administration from the University of Utah, David Eccles School of Business on scholarship.
In 2005 Chiao-ih was named the youngest “Rising Star: Top 40 Under 40” by Utah Business Magazine. Chiao-ih Hui is one of 2010’s Women Tech Council’s Women Tech Award Finalist.
