I was born and raised in the Chicago suburbs. I’ve always loved travel, so after graduating from Purdue, I took a position with GM Electro-Motive Division (EMD) as a Field Engineer and traveled for 8 years before returning to the Chicago area as a manager of the Powertrain Design and Drafting area. Missing the travel and contact with customers, I then spent 5 years in EMD’s Commercial organization in Technical Sales and then as a Proposal Manager. After receiving a job offer in Utah in 2006, my husband and I moved to Utah to take advantage of the year round outdoor opportunities and the beautiful scenery. I am proud to be an officer of SWE and look forward helping other professional engineers as well as young women studying to pursue a career in engineering.
