As Outreach Chair I am able to interact with a wide range of students. I think it is important to expose both male and female students of all ages to women as engineers. When they enter the workforce later they will already be comfortable with women working in technical fields.

Process Engineer at ATK Space Systems/Launch, Magna UT

  • 29 years of experience in private industry with commerical and government contracts
  • Quality Engineer at ATK Space Systems/Launch, Rocket Motor Assembly
  • Product,Manufacturing and Aerospace Fasteners Engineer, SPS Technologies
Goals:
  1. Continue outreach to elementary and jr high students through volunteer work as a hands-on science teacher and workshop presenter
  2. Coordinate SWE participation in MESA , Steps , EYH (Expanding Your Horizons) and SLVSEF
