Sarah Hancock
|
Sarah is originally from Los Alamitos, California, and attended Georgia Tech for both her BS and MS in Electrical Engineering. She moved to Tucson in June 2006 and works for Rincon Research Corporation. She was involved in SWE at Georgia Tech and has been SWE Tucson Secretary for three years.

Maysa-Maria Peterson
|
Maysa-Maria Peterson is the SWE Tucson Vice President. In 1983, she
earned a BS in Computer Science and a BA in Economics from East
Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania. She later earned an MS in
Software Engineering from the University of Scranton in 1997. She first
worked as a network systems programmer and then owned a graphics design
and publishing company. She went on to work for Los Alamos National
Laboratory as an Institutional Software Quality Management Program
Manager. Maysa joined Raytheon Missile Systems in 2006 and worked as a
Senior Principal Software and Quality Engineer and Raytheon Six Sigma
Expert. Her current position at Raytheon is in research and development
of emerging technology and software solutions for application to
business needs and adjacent markets.

Kate Blinick
|
Kate Tyldesley Blinick is the SWE Tucson Secretary. She earned a BS in
Electrical Engineering from the University of Arizona in 2001 and an MS
in Electrical Engineering from Arizona State University in 2003. While
pursuing her undergraduate degree, she worked as a co-op at IBM in
Tucson. She was also very involved with the University of Arizona SWE
section and served as president her senior year. During her graduate
studies, she worked as a research assistant investigating signal
processing and imaging processing techniques for sending data over low
bandwidth, high fault satellite channels. She began working full time
at IBM in 2003. Kate has held positions at IBM including hardware
design engineer for disk storage systems and for SAS storage solutions.
Her current position at IBM is as a Logic Design Engineer working on
signal processing ASIC’s for tape drive storage.

Stacey James
|
A native Arizonan, Stacey earned her BS degree in Systems Engineering from the University of Arizona in Tucson in 1994. She has been active in the Tucson SWE Section for over 10 years, and is a SWE Life Member. She has been employed with Raytheon as a Software Engineer for 11 years and is a critical part of her team. As an active member of SWE Tucson she has held many officer positions, including President, VP, and Section Rep. She has also been the primary organizer of the Arizona Student Solar Competition for over 8 years, and the UA SWE Counselor for the last several years.

Mary Mahler
|
Mary grew up in a small town in Missouri. She has a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla, a M.S. in Aeronautical Engineering from Georgia Tech, a M.S. in Engineering Management from Cal Tech and a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from UCLA. She worked on various aircraft at Northrop Grumman in El Segundo for many years moving to Raytheon Missile Systems in Tucson in 2003. She has held SWE positions on the Section (LA and Tucson) and Region level. Outside of work, she enjoys
scuba diving, spending time at the ocean and with her family and hiking/biking.

Justina Mikals
|
Justina Mikals is a life member of SWE. In 2000, she obtained
undergraduate degrees at Miami University in manufacturing engineering
and engineering management, and later went on to earn an MBA full-time
from Purdue University. Her background includes applications
engineering and industrial sales. She currently works as a team lead in
supply chain management for Raytheon and is an alternate representative
for the Tucson section. After several job rotations in a leadership
development program, she has been in Tucson for almost two years. A past
chair of the SWE leadership coaching committee, Justina is now focused
on section vitality in region B.
