1. Simply Dinners

Hate grocery shopping or the cleaning up that comes with preparing meals? Make home cooking easier for you, sign up for an afternoon of socializing while preparing dinners for your family. Simply Dinners has all the ingredients, laid out (already chopped), all you have to do is follow the instructions to measure and mix the recipe ingredients into baking pans or Ziploc bags. Take everything home and freeze until you're ready to heat.

Let your neighbors and friends know! You will also be supporting your local SWE section, 10% of your order will be donated to SWE. At least one food sample and a special dessert will be served at the party. Bring a box, standard-size cooler, or laundry basket to transport your meals home, also, if you have long hair bring something to pull it back with.

To Reserve a Spot:

    1. Place an order by August 3rd. The August menu features 15 dinners offering Asian Coconut Stir Fry, Raspberry Chipotle Pork Tenderloin, Tropical Glazed Salmon, and more.

    2. If you are new to Simply Dinners we recommend that you read all about it at https://www.simplydinners.com/Default.aspx. The “introduction”, “how it works”, and “about the food –faq” pages are the most helpful to learn about the concept.

    3. You need to sign up for your meals ahead of time so all of the ingredients can be prepped and ready for you. To place your order:

      a. Go to the order page or call the store at 615-9050.

      b. Click on our Private Party session. The party is scheduled for Saturday August 8th 2-4 pm at the Plaza Palomino store. There is a little lock next to the time. If you hover on the time you will see the session name which is “Private Party for Society of Women Engineers"

      c. When you select the time you will need a password. The password to our session is “SW082009”. This is case sensitive.

      d. When you enter your order you should enter the Promotion Code of “SWE2009”. This signals Simply Dinners to donate 10% of your order to SWE-Tucson. Please note - a minimum of 6 dinners needs to be ordered per person for SWE Tucson to get the donation, check with your neighbors and friends to combine orders if you'd like.

2. August RUN Dinner

From the restaurant webpage:
Hungry? Fire + Spice, our new cutting-edge Southwestern eatery is a culinary experience you won't want to miss. Steeped in history and rich in culture, Arizona cuisine blends traditional Native American ingredients, the refined tastes of Old Spain, and the spices, peppers, and cheeses of Mexico. Fire + Spice's menu is infused with the flavors of all three culinary traditions, and stands at the vanguard of nouveau Arizona cuisine. From presentations where the plate is the canvas and the food is the paint, to the enticing blend of aromas, textures and flavors—you'll enjoy Southwestern fare like you've never seen or tasted it before.
