Below the pictures of the different celestial bodies in our solar system are numbers that represent the difference in weight between the Earth and that celestial body. For example, look at the Earth and the Sun. If you weigh 1 pound on Earth you will weigh 279 pounds on the Sun! If you weigh 100 pounds on Earth you would need to multiply (100 pounds on Earth) X (279 pounds on the Sun/1 pound on Earth) = 279,000 pounds on the Sun!
Let's change the problem a little. What if you are on Saturn and weigh 113 pounds - how much will you weigh on Earth? Answer: 100 pounds. In this problem you have to divide the weight on Saturn by Saturns ratio to pounds on Earth which is 1.13.
113 pounds on Saturn/(1.13 pounds on Saturn/1 pound on Earth) = 100 pounds.
Let's say you are 100 pounds on Venus and you want to know how much you will weigh on Pluto. How would you solve that problem? You have all the ratios you need. You'll need to combine your strategy for solving the problems above to solve this one.
