Apply today for the 2011 Scholarship

The 2011 Scholarship Application Deadline is April 15, 2011.

Applications sent Certified Mail or Delivery Confirmation will not be accepted.

Qualifications:

  • The applicant must be female.
  • The applicant’s home must be in a zip code with these three numbers as the first three digits: IL 600-608, 610-611, and 613; IN 463-466.
  • The applicant must be a freshman, re-entry or transfer student accepted into an engineering or computer science program, by an accredited college or university for the Fall 2011 semester.
  • The applicant’s grade point average must be above 3.0/4.0 scale

Guidelines for application:

  • Application must be filled out completely and submitted with the following information. Your name should appear on every page submitted. Do not staple any of the documents.
    • A certified copy of your high school transcript
    • Proof of acceptance into a university engineering program (acceptance letter)
    • Letter of recommendation (1 minimum)
    • One page or less essay entitled "Why I Want to Become an Engineer"
  • Application must be postmarked by April 15, 2011 and sent to the following address. Do not send via certified mail.

  • Scholarship winners will be notified via telephone in May. All other applications will receive an email indicating selection has been completed.
  • Scholarship recipients and their families will be invited to attend the Awards Banquet on June 9.
