SALES ENGINEER
BUFFALO GROVE, IL
ITW Switches, a Division of Illinois Tool Works, Inc., a Fortune 200 Company has immediate openings for Sales Engineer candidates in Buffalo Grove, IL looking to work in an exciting, dynamic environment developing opportunities for leading edge technologies in switches and sensors. The responsibilities of this position include:
- Working closely with existing key accounts to identify new product/project opportunities.
- Identifying and penetrating target accounts for new project sales.
- Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with engineers and purchasing staff at assigned accounts.
- Providing market forecasts and strategic insight into assigned markets and customers.
The required background for a potential candidate includes:
- Minimum BS degree in engineering.
- Minimum 3 years outside sales experience/experience in working directly with customers in product development. Strong track record in new business generation.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills.
- Local and national travel required to key accounts.
Preferred background:
- Experience in selling switch/sensor/electronic products.
- Experience in selling custom, engineered products.
