2010 Regional Conference Fun

2012 Region I conference to be held in Tulsa!

Tulsa beat out 3 other proposed locations to host the 2012 region I SWE conference.  The conference is planned for March 2nd and 3rd, 2012, and will be held at the Hilton Southern Hills.  Events will include technical tours of area factories, a keynote address from the director of the NASA Mars Rover missions, a Monte Carlo night with casino games played with “SWEbucks”, and culminate with dinner at the Oklahoma Aquarium. 175-200 women engineers from a 6 state area are expected to attend.

For information on corporate sponsorship opportunities, or to get involved with the planning of this conference, email Suzanne.Dodson@swe.org.

A Farewell to Our Section President

Christine Hirrill will be missed as she relocates to Salt Lake City to begin a new phase in her career. The Tulsa-NEO SWE section is thankful for her tremendous leadership skills, supportive guidance, and vibrant character through our many accomplishments. We wish her nothing but the best in her new ventures!
