The Small-Mart Revolution: How Local Businesses are Beating the Global
Competition

The general feeling of the 7 who were there that read at least part of the book
was that it was too "wordy". It would have been a better magazine article.
It was informative how some local businesses could actually be cheaper to shop
at than the "box stores", and how shopping locally keeps more money locally.
A thought was proposed to tax only what we consume too much of, like oil,
electricity, and gas. Also mentioned was turning abandoned city lots into city
farms.
The second half of the book has checklists at the end of each chapter which
were very helpful.
Generally, the author was very opinionated.
