The club differed on their thoughts of The Twentieth Wife. Some
members thought the intricate detail used by the author helped to take
the reader to the various locations and become more engaged with the
storyline. Others thought that the author provided too much detail,
not allowing the reader to create her own imaginations. Some club
members also expected more of the story to revolve around Mehrunnisa's
rule, and were disappointed that so little of this part of her life
was contained in the book.
