The SWE-NY leadership team is interested in hearing your views on how to make our chapter more vibrant and meaningful to its members and in effect increase impact within the region. Over the past year, membership and active participation have declined, and we would like to reverse this trend. In order to improve our organization's relevance to current members and attract new members, we are interested in hearing from each of you on this topic! We want your collective ideas, suggestions, and opinions on how to make the SWE-NY Section more meaningful to your professional life, and what it would take to draw each of you into more active participation. Please be on the lookout for the member survey in the coming weeks!

As the dog days of summer come to a close, what better way to send out this steamy season than with an afternoon of wine-tasting and a picnic lunch with your nearest and dearest friends from SWE-NY? Join us at Pugliese Vineyards at 11:00am on September 12, 2010 to experience all that Long Island wine country has to offer. Everyone is welcome, so invite friends and family, bring lunch and picnic blankets, kick back, and enjoy the weather with a few glasses of wine and some great company.
