expand the image of the engineering profession as a positive force in improving the quality of
life, and demonstrate the value of diversity.
COR Survey Results
Thank everyone who completed the COR survey. It is a big success because we
received a lot of valuable input. Here are the results.
The gift card winner is Azadeh M. Sorbi. Congratulations!
Mentoring Opportunities
One of the goals of our SWE section is to bridge the gap between student and
professional life, and we need your help. Each college and university with a SWE chapter
needs a Section Counselor. A Section Counselor is paired with a SWE chapter to offer advice,
help set up lectures and field trips or anything that the chapter needs to be successful.
If you are a recent graduate or are interested in becoming more involved in SWE, please e-mail
Student Section Liaison.
SWE National Web Seminars
Take a short online crash course in communication skills, management skills,
time management, work/life Balance, or career advice.
SWE Web Seminar Replays is free for SWE members.
SWE NY Email List Server
Continuing the promise of better communication to the chapter, and following
on the heels of our wildly successful website launch a few months ago, we are pleased to
announce the launch of the SWE NY mail server. Please follow the instruction in
How to Join a Mailing List
to join SWE NY List. For more information about how to remove from a mailing list, currently
available lists or any other questions regarding the SWE mailing list server, please go to
SWE Mailing List after you login.
