SUNY Stony Brook “Mocktail” Party

The Stony Brook University Collegiate Section is looking for volunteers to participate in their First annual “SWE-Mocktail” ” on Monday, November 16^th at 7:00pm-8:30pm.  A mock-cocktail party, the “SWE-Mocktail” is designed to help students conduct themselves with poise, and confidence in professional and social situations. Non-alcoholic drinks and hors d'oeuvres will be served!!

You’ll get a chance to network with Stony Brook SWE Students, as well as other Professionals while helping the students learn proper social etiquette. For easy travel to and from the College, there is a train station directly on campus which is easily accessible from Penn Station, Jamaica, or Huntington Station. Just take the Port Jefferson line to the Stony Brook Stop.

Mentoring Opportunities

One of the goals of our SWE section is to bridge the gap between student and professional life, and we need your help. Each college and university with a SWE chapter needs a Section Counselor. A Section Counselor is paired with a SWE chapter to offer advice, help set up lectures and field trips or anything that the chapter needs to be successful. If you are a recent graduate or are interested in becoming more involved in SWE, please e-mail Student Section Liaison.
