Florence Hudson Seminar Join SWE-NY and SWE-Columbia’s collegiate section for an Evening with Florence Hudson, the SWE 2008 Upward Mobility Award Winner as she speaks with students and professionals about her career working with IBM and the choices that have helped her become Energy & Environment Executive, IBM Corporate Strategy. This event will take place at Lerner Hall on the Columbia University campus and is free to all students. Access to the hall is by RSVP only. Mark Your Calendars! Volunteer with SWE on New York Cares Day! Join SWE and hundreds of other New Yorkers on Saturday October 17th to paint a brighter future for New York City students. We'll paint hundreds of colorful murals, add bright new line games to playgrounds, organize school libraries, plant flowers, and more to create inspiring learning environments. This event was scheduled for Oct 3, 2009 but because of rain it has been pushed to the rain date. This is sure to be a fun event for children and adults of all ages! Free admission into the pumpkin patch. Entrants pay for the cost of the pumpkins picked per pound. Inquire about carpooling options from NYC, Long Island and the Huntington LIRR train station!
