About Us

We are the Society of Women Engineers in the New York City metro area.

Other engineering societies are discipline-specific and focus on the "technical." SWE covers all disciplines and focuses on the non-technical side. SWE is an engaging, supportive forum for anyone interested in networking, being more well-rounded, taking on new leadership roles, and reaching out to the community.

We are a dynamic, diverse group of engineers and students in over a dozen disciplines and various life stages. Our events include professional / personal development, networking nights, social activities, setting up mentoring and student outreach, and fundraisers.
