Detroit Holocaust Memorial Center
Illuminating the Past, Enlighting the future. The Holocaust Memorial Center (HMC),
the first institution of its kind in the United States, is the fulfillment of a dream nurtured by Founder and
Executive Vice President Rabbi Charles H. Rosenzveig and embraced by his fellow members of
Shaarit Haplaytah ("the Remnant," survivors of the Holocaust).

Fox Theatre
Detroit's Fox Theatre was built by old world craftsman in an era noted for luxurious and
ornate movie templates. In the height of the 1920's joyous celebration of prosperity ,
movie mogul William Fox commissioned the construction of six sister theatres to showcase his
lavish motion pictures and live theatrical presentations. On September 21, 1928, the first of
these "Temples of Amusement", Detroit's Fox Theatre, was unveiled to the delight of an enchanted public.
From the days of vaudeville, big bands and popular musical performers to the hometown "Motortown Review",
The Fox carried out the pages of American entertainment history on its stage,
its plush seats embracing generation upon generation of enthusiastic audiences.
