The Society of Women Engineers has secured blocks at four hotels
in the Downtown Denver area. Both hotels are equidistant from
the Colorado Convention Center. Please make all reservations directly
with the hotel. Please call the Conference Management Office at

The
Marriott Denver City Center is located right in the heart
of downtown and within walking distance of the Convention center,
restaurants, and other attractions. Some of the 2001 SWE Conference
events will be held here. Each sleeping room is equipped with
cable TV, phone, voice mail, and multiple data ports. The Marriott
also has an attractive pool, Jacuzzi, and health spa.
Conference Rates: Single $130.00,
Double $130.00 Additional person $10.00 and $150 limited quads
for students. There are limited government rooms.

The room block at this hotel is basically full. There are some select
nights available under the room block. You might get a longer reservation
if someone cancelled, so it is worth trying.

The Hyatt Regency Denver
downtown is a luxury hotel offering
guests the largest sleeping rooms in the city. The Hyatt is located
three blocks from the Colorado Convention Center and also is
very close to restaurants and other attractions. Health facilities
include the Sky Court Health Club, and an outdoor tennis and
jogging track. The Hyatt offers many room amenities including
cable TV, walk-in closets, multiple data ports, and three telephones
per room.

as our official carrier for the 2001 National Conference. As
a participant, you are eligible to receive a 5% discount off
of any published United Fare, or 10% if you purchase your ticket
60 days in advance. You may book your flight with United Airlines
directly by calling 1-800-521-4041, and refer to Meeting Plus
ID Code 554SN. You may also book a United flight with your preferred
travel agent using the above Meeting Plus ID Code.
Ground Transportation Options from DIA
A complete Ground Transportation Center is located on the 5th
level of the terminal, near the baggage claim. In the center
of the 5th level are information boards located near baggage
carousels. All transportation companies have their booths located
on that level, and passengers catch their vans, shuttles, and
taxis outside the fifth level doors.
Shuttle Services:

Shuttles operate every l/2 hour from 6 am until midnight from
the hotels at $17 each way, $30 round-trip. Travel time is 30
minutes to one hour depending on hotel and number of stops. Vans
will be available to pick up passengers at DIA every 15-20 minutes.
To arrange passage, stop at the SuperShuttle counter on Level
5 at the airport, or order from a hotel doorman.
2) Denver Express Shuttle: (303) 342-3424.
Shuttles run every half-hour to downtown hotels. Passengers can
check in at their counter on Level 5. To return to DIA from area
hotels, call for reservations. Shuttles begin at 5 am and run
until 10 pm. Cost is $15 one way, $27 round-trip.
3) Wolf Express Shuttle: (303) 333-4000.
Shuttles run every half-hour to downtown. Passengers can check
in at the Wolf Express Shuttle desk on Level 5. To return to
DIA from area hotels, call 1-877-303-WOLF for reservations. The
cost is $15.00 one-way, or $25.00 round trip.

Denver's bus and light-rail transportation provider, RTD, provides
