PROGRAM

All session topics and events listed are subject to change.

GUESTS

Spouses and other guests (18 years of age and older) of Convention participants are invited to attend the Convention for a guest registration fee of $55 per day. Guests must purchase a non-student ticket to attend any ticketed event. We respectfully request that this special registration rate be reserved for guests who are not participating in the Convention programming. Please submit a separate registration form for each guest.

CHILDREN

All school age children are encouraged to participate in the SuCcESs! program. To participate in the Convention activities, children 12 to 17 years of age must register as guests and purchase student tickets to attend ticketed events. Children under 12 years old can attend all non-ticketed Convention events free of charge when accompanied by a paid adult. All children must purchase a student ticket for any ticketed event. For safety reasons, there may be special requirements for children on technical and sightseeing tours. Please check individual tour descriptions.

SPECIAL ACCOMMODATIONS

Any participants needing special accommodations due to a disability should check the appropriate box on the registration form and attach a written description. Our ability to accommodate your needs is based on the information you provide. If you have a special meal requirement, please check the box on the registration form and explain your requirement in the space provided. We may not be able to accommodate your special meal requirements at receptions or for meals purchased on-site.

ON-SITE TICKET PURCHASE

All ticketed events are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets for some events may be available for purchase on-site.

TICKET EXCHANGE and RESALE

If it is necessary to change a seminar or other event for which you purchased a ticket, we will notify you. Alternative programs and activities may be available for on-site ticket purchase. Space will be provided at the Convention Information Center (on-site) where you may advertise tickets for exchange or resale (you will be responsible for arrangements and transactions).

ON-SITE REGISTRATION LOCATIONS and HOURS

On-site registration will be located in the Civic Plaza Monday through Saturday during the following hours:

Monday: 6:00pm to 9:00pm

Tuesday thru Friday: 7:00am to 6:00pm

Saturday: 8:00am to 12:00noon

INTERNET REGISTRATION

We are pleased to announce that Convention registration will be accepted over the Internet! Process your registration at: www.showtrax.com. The site will be operational from March 1 to June 1, 1999.

REGISTRATION PAYMENT METHODS

Payment by US dollars, check (payable to SWE) or credit card must accompany your registration form. Any registration form received with an incomplete, illegible, or unaccepted credit card number will not be processed. Mail Check or Credit Card Payments to: SWE’99 Convention Office, P.O. Box 4653, Oak Brook, IL 60521. FAX Credit Card Payment to: SWE’99 Convention Office, 818-558-1279. You should receive written confirmation of your registration within four weeks. Your registration packet will be available at the Phoenix Civic Plaza.

JOIN SWE and SAVE

If you join SWE at the time you register, you will be eligible for New Member fees, which include one year of membership. To apply for membership when you register, check the New Member box on the registration form. A membership application will be sent to you with your registration confirmation. Membership grades and other information can be found at the SWE web page (www.swe.org) or call SWE Headquarters at 212-509-9577.

DEADLINES

It pays to register early! Three registration periods will be offered with the lowest rates offered to registrations postmarked by April 25th. Option 2 registration is not available after June 1. All events are filled on a first-come, first-served basis and we cannot guarantee event availability to late registrants. Additional tours and sessions will be offered if early registration warrants.

CANCELLATIONS and REFUNDS

Refunds will be issued for written cancellations postmarked no later than June 1. Telephone cancellations will not be accepted. Refunds will be limited to registration fees only. Refunds for ticketed events will only be issued if the event is canceled and only to the original ticket holder. Refunds will not be issued on site. Send tickets with proof of registration to the SWE’99 Convention Office, P.O. Box 4653, Oak Brook, IL 60521. Should SWE cancel the 1999 Convention, its liability shall be limited to a full refund of the registration fee and Convention events tickets only.
