DEFINING, WRITING AND MANAGING PROJECT REQUIREMENTS Sold Out
Ivy Hooks
$25 • class size: 30
Thursday, 2:00–5:00pm

Part of managing a project successfully is telling the project team members what the successful product or project should look like. The process of defining the project scope and details many times takes the form of "writing requirements." If you are responsible for writing project requirements or you are responsible for carrying out somebody else's requirements, this workshop is for you. You will learn how to define the project scope before writing requirements, how to define the requirements, how to manage the process throughout the its life cycle, how to recognize poor requirements and how to write good requirements.

After spending many years at NASA, Ivy Hooks founded Compliance Automation, Inc., a company specializing in managing requirements through training, audits and automation. Her program will help you understand how cost overruns, schedule slips and dissatisfied customers can be avoided by writing requirements that make sense. Ms. Hooks is a founding member of the SWE Houston Area Section.
