The Family Program consists of On-Site Day Care for children ages 6 months to 5 years, a daily Children's Program for ages 6-17 and nightly babysitting in the day care suite staffed by SWE volunteers. Adults (age 18+) are encouraged to participate in the Technical and Fun Tours, or they may request help from the SWE Concierge in obtaining information about other local events and attractions.

SWE volunteers and chaperones will be available to
answer any last minute questions you or your child might have. The day
care suite will also be available for inspection. Meet the other kids
and pick out a buddy to ride on the bus with, check
out the day care suite where we'll be meeting and returning to every
day, and get a sneak preview of the next four days' events!

Children's Program

The Children's Program runs from Wednesday through Saturday. Each day's program includes breakfast, lunch, snacks, transportation and admission to the listed venues. On Saturday, dinner (a pizza party) is also included. Children may be dropped off at the day care suite between 7:00–8:30am, and picked up between 4:00–5:00pm.

Families with more than one child enrolled in the Children's Program will receive a 20% discount on each additional child. The program is open to a limited number of parents who wish to accompany their child and participate as chaperones. (The fee is waived for chaperones.) Additional data and release forms must be completed and returned prior to the first day's activities. All forms will be sent to you with your registration confirmation. Release forms are available above. All required paperwork must be completed before a child can be enrolled in the program.
Please note: For the safety of all children in the program, any child who fails to acknowledge program supervision will be subject to further action. The program director may: 1) eject the child from the program (fees are non-refundable); 2) allow the child to attend only if accompanied by an adult chaperone; or 3) take other action deemed appropriate at the director's discretion. SWE is not responsible for children ejected from the Children's Program.

Nightly Babysitting
For ages 6 months to 17 years
Wednesday-Saturday - 6:30pm-9:30pm
Babysitting will be available in the Day Care Suite of the Hyatt Regency Houston for the children of Convention attendees. SWE volunteers will staff the Day Care Suite during the evening hours.
The charge is $5 per hour for each child. Make reservations 24 hours in advance with the SWE Concierge at the convention.
