Take Your Child to Work Day

Pratt & Whitney's annual "Take Your Child to Work Day" was held on Thursday, April 26th in East Hartford. SWE Hartford has participated in this event for the last 5 years, each year providing an activity linked to the theme. This year's theme was "Protecting our People & Our Environment" so SWE-Hartford sponsored a booth where the children could make their own 'wind turbines'. About 200 of the 1500 registered children stopped by to make one and the wonderful SWE volunteers made sure they knew how it worked and thus, how we get energy from the wind.
