Healthy Nutrition for the Busy Woman Description: Whether you are on the run or making a slow cooked dinner, a few
simple changes to your food choices can make a big difference in how you feel
today, and help set the stage for better health tomorrow. Professor Zawacki
will show you how to manage a healthy body weight while enjoying a delicious,
satisfying, and more nutritious amount of food each day. She will discuss the importance of whole
grains and healthy snacks. More
importantly, she will show you how to make healthy eating taste good. About the Speaker Stacey Zawacki is a licensed, registered
dietitian with a Masters degree in Exercise Science from Boston University
and is currently enrolled in the Doctor of Public Health program at Boston
University's School of Public Health. Stacey is a Clinical Assistant
Professor and Director of the Nutrition & Fitness Center at Sargent
College. The Nutrition & Fitness
Center provides a variety of nutrition services to students, faculty, and
staff at Boston University including individual and group nutrition
counseling, and one-credit nutrition courses such as Healthy Dieting, Healthy
Cooking on a Budget, and Vegetarian Nutrition. In addition to helping individuals develop
healthy behaviors to prevent or manage elevated body weight, eating
disorders, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, and
diabetes, it is Stacey's goal to develop model health promotion programs for
institutions including Weight Loss Essentials and the Sargent Choice Healthy
Food and Education Program. |
