1: Fund Development for SWE Sections
Description Fundraising
is vital to the success of each SWE section. This presentation is ideal for
both professional and collegiate SWE sections that fundraise to support
meetings, conferences, and other expenses. It encompasses fundraising for
meetings all the way to securing funds for members to attend the SWE National
Conference. From getting organized with your fundraising needs to creating a
corporate packet, this presentation gives a great introduction to the art of
fundraising. Speaker: Andrea Ippolito serves as one of the team members on the Region F SWE
Collegiate Leadership Coaching Committee (CLCC).Previously, she served as a
team member on the Region E CLCC team from 2006-2007. Andrea graduated from
Cornell University with a Masters of Engineering degree in Biomedical
Engineering in May 2007 and with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological
Engineering in May 2006. As a senior at Cornell, she served as SWE president
from 2005-2006. As an undergraduate she focused on outreach activities within
SWE, including planning the Cornell SWE Girl Scout Day, High School and
Elementary School Outreach, and Perspective Candidates' Weekend. Andrea
currently works in the Cell Biology laboratory at Boston Scientific Corporation
in Natick, MA and is the Treasurer of the SWE Boston professional section. |
