- Welcome to the Smoky Mountain Section of the Society of Women Engineers Website. Our SWE section is a networking group with 35 members in technical fields from a variety of companies in the East Tennessee region. Our mission is to inform the community of opportunities open to women in engineering and to encourage women to enter and grow in engineering and the sciences.
Special Announcement
We have established a scholarship in honor of Katherine F. Lindquist, one of our dedicated past Section Representatives. Interested students should fill out the application form and send in the application package by June 30, 2007.News and Current Events - May, 2007: Award Certificates of Merit to area high school females excelling in Math and Science.
