This year's theme is "Energizing Engineering."  Houston is recognized as the "Energy Capital of the World" and this year we want to concentrate on how SWE can energize individuals as well as engineering as a whole.

Women in engineering across the region are powering industry.  They are the catalysts that drive innovation and collaboration across all sectors.  We would like to provide the attendees with a toolbox of new ideas, connections, and skills to give them the power and energy they need to be successful.  We would like the conference to be a leadership venue, showcasing the many achievements of women in engineering in Region C.

As part of this theme, we will have a "Successful Outreach" session, have a presentation on "Advancing the Educational Pipeline of Women in Engineering," and hear a keynote from a distinguished female engineer on how she energized engineering and how it empowered her.
